Welcome to my profile page. You might be here because you are feeling like everything is too much. You might feel alone, confused, like giving up, or you might feel stuck in ways of being in the world that aren’t working for you…

…perhaps you feel something is missing, or you are looking to help your young person to find support. Whatever the reason well done for taking this first step.

Counselling can help you to make sense of your life, find acceptance, meaning and purpose; and help you to create a more fulfilling, joyful life.

 My approach

While some of us have a clear idea of what we would like from counselling, it is not unusual to have a tangled ball of presenting issues. In our first session we will work through how you see your current challenges, what you hope to get from your sessions (goals) and from this we will decide how we will work together.

After studying Transactional Analysis (TA), I chose to train to qualify to work integratively (all the main counselling theories rather than one), so I aim to fit the way I work to you. The main theories I use in my work are TA, Person Centred and CBT. When helpful I offer the science behind what it means to be human and working creatively for example, drawing, emotion cards, visualizations, mindfulness and play.

I am registered with and abide by the BACP code of ethics. The support I offer you will be non-judgemental, confidential and collaborative; always putting you first.

Understanding life as an interconnected mind, body and soul experience; this underpins the way I work.

I offer both short and long term counselling. Short term counselling can be very effective (up to 12 sessions). If you decide you would like longer term counselling we will review this periodically to make sure we are working effectively.
