Welcome to my profile page! If you’ve found your way here, it’s not by accident. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure of what comes next. But here’s the good news, you’ve already taken a powerful first step toward change. You don’t have to navigate this alone, and together, we can move toward the clarity, healing, and growth you deserve.

I am a qualified counsellor with experience in supporting individuals with a range of personal or interpersonal problems. I have a foundation degree in Humanistic Counselling, which focused on working within the Transactional Analysis approach. I actively attend further training to ensure that I continue to improve my counselling skills. I have experience working with adults and young people (11+), supporting them through a variety of issues. I believe in the ability of every individual to grow and develop their potential. Within each of us lies the potential to evolve, adapt, and overcome challenges. At the core of effective counseling is the therapeutic relationship, a partnership that fosters self-discovery, resilience, and meaningful change. Through this process, individuals not only learn to navigate difficulties but also gain deeper self-awareness, build confidence, and strengthen their connections with others.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (HACP). As a member of BACP I follow their code of ethical and professional conduct and regularly attend clinical supervision as this is good practice and ensures I am practising at my best.

I take an anti-discriminatory LGBTQ+ affirmative stance, and I am open to difference in all its forms. I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate approach, listening with empathy while equipping you with the tools to better understand and navigate your challenges.

In my viewpoint, effective counselling requires more than just professional qualifications, it also benefits greatly from a broad range of life experiences.  A well-rounded perspective allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level, fostering genuine empathy, insightful understanding, and practical guidance that transcends theory. By drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, I strive to create a supportive and meaningful therapeutic relationship that empowers individuals to navigate challenges and achieve personal growth.

My experience of working in a varied environment with people from many different cultural backgrounds has enabled me to develop an arsenal of effective skills. I have expertise in the following areas: trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues, panic attacks, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem, shame, abuse, general relationships, ADHD, ASD, bullying, exam pressure, gender identity, sexuality, stress, OCD, UEPD, BPD, ill-health, self-harm, suicide, parental separation/divorce.

As a Humanistic, Integrative counsellor, I work collaboratively with clients to foster self-awareness and a deeper understanding of their challenges. I provide a non-judgemental, warm and confidential environment that can support clients to explore feelings that they are finding difficult to confront, or aspects of their lives that they may desire to better understand. I believe in the ability of every individual to develop their full potential. Together we can create an appropriate space where you will feel safe to explore your emotions without fear, and explore the aspects of self that may be contributing to discomfort and work towards meaningful change.

Recognizing that every individual is unique, I tailor my approach using a range of therapeutic techniques to suit each person's specific needs. I offer open-ended counselling, from short-term support to longer-term work, depending on what feels right for you. If you choose ongoing therapy, we will regularly assess our progress to ensure our work remains effective and aligned with your evolving needs. When appropriate, I integrate creative techniques such as drawing, emotion cards, mindfulness, visualisation and games, offering a dynamic and personalised approach to therapy that enhances self-exploration and healing.
