Geanina Roman

I’m a qualified counsellor and I work with adult individuals. Whether you’re tired of feeling not good enough, overwhelmed with anxiety or if you’re struggling with your relationships, I am here to offer you a warm and supportive space. My aim is to walk alongside you and to work with you in a way that is comfortable to you.

Together we will explore your present challenges but we will also look towards the past in order to help you gain the insights and the resilience you need to make positive changes in your life.

 My approach

As a therapist I see myself as a guide, someone who creates a safe and supportive space in which you can bring any worries, concerns or difficult experiences you may be dealing with. Together we will explore your challenges and work towards gaining insights and finding ways to help you grow. My goal is to establish a relationship with you and to be there for you in a way that makes you feel supported.

I work in a non-structured way, meaning you choose what you want to work on during each session. My approach is gentle, and my clients have described me as warm, calm and insightful.

My main training is in Psychosynthesis, which has been described as a psychology of hope. We will work at a deep level, looking at patterns of behaviour that started in the past that no longer work; at the same time, we will also look at your potential - at how your struggles and challenges are invitations for you to grow and be more of your true self.

In my work use mindfulness, somatic as well as creative approaches depending on what our work together needs as well as what you’re comfortable with.

We will start with a free 15-minute call where we will explore what brings you to therapy as well as what you hope to get from our work together. At this point you may choose to book further sessions, but there is no pressure for you to do so. I believe it’s very important that you work with a therapist that you feel comfortable with, and I encourage you to speak to a few practitioners before you decide.

Once we decide to work together, our first full session will be 50 minutes long. In this session I will ask you more in-depth questions about yourself and about your history that might be relevant to your current challenges.
