Addendum to Working agreement between
Client and Counsellor in relation to COVID
Face-To-Face Appointments
This information is valid from the 25th February 2022. It is periodically reviewed for accuracy.
Please note, significant changes relating to the procedures in place have been made in February 2022. Please read the below terms carefully.
In accordance with professional and government guidance, we have carefully considered our position in providing you with therapy in terms of offering face-to-face sessions, and propose the following measures for face-to-face sessions.
Please read through the following information before attending your session. If you have any further questions, please do contact administrator@cau12.com or your counsellor prior to your appointment.
Before arrival
If you or someone you live with develops symptoms of COVID by the time of your appointment, please contact your counsellor before attending. Should you need to cancel your appointment short notice due to you or someone you have been in contact with (in accordance with government guidance) displaying symptoms of COVID, any fees associated with late cancellation will be waived.
You are required to agree to this addendum to your working agreement for face-to-face counselling sessions prior to your first face-to-face counselling appointment. If your counsellor believes it is not safe for you to attend, they will explain why. As an alternative, they will offer you a remote appointment by telephone or video call.
Face masks
It is recommended that you wear a face masks while you are moving through the Unit 12 building.
While you are in the counselling room, you are not required to wear a face mask. However, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free to do so.
Your counsellor may not be wearing a mask as we believe that the involvement of a face mask may unhelpfully impact the therapy.
If you would prefer your counsellor to wear a face mask, please raise this with them.
During the counselling session
Antibacterial gel will be available for you to use upon entry to the building and counselling room. Please feel free to use this gel at any time, although we do recommend that you bring your own to avoid both you and your counsellor touching the same bottle.
Air purifiers will be in use throughout the day and windows can be opened to aid ventilation.
After the counselling session
Should your counsellor come into contact with COVID or develop symptoms, they will contact you immediately and follow latest government guidance.
If you come into contact with COVID or experience any symptoms, please notify us immediately either by emailing administrator@cau12.com or by contacting your counsellor.
As stated above, should you need to make a last minute cancellation due to contact with, or symptoms of, COVID, the normal cancellation fee will be waived, but please make sure that you inform us as soon as possible.
In the event that we experience further increases in restrictions, or guidance change affecting face-to-face appointments, your counsellor will offer remote counselling sessions where possible and appropriate. Before agreeing to online or telephone sessions, you will need to consider the implications of breaches of online security, which your counsellor cannot be held responsible for. You will also need to find a private space in which to hold the session, in order to protect your confidentiality.
Important
Despite best efforts, the above measures cannot entirely eliminate the risk of contracting COVID on the premises. You will need to carefully consider the risk to you and your loved ones, including pre-existing health conditions that may put your or your household at increased risk, before agreeing to attend face-face sessions.
Steps have been taken to minimize the risk of possible transmission though in agreeing to the terms of this contract, you accept that this cannot be guaranteed and neither counselling@unit12 nor your counsellor can be held responsible.
