Damla Palit
Hi, I’m Damla, a NCPS registered counsellor. Life can be overwhelming at times, and facing challenges alone can feel isolating. As a counsellor, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and understanding. This is a safe, non-judgmental space where your thoughts and feelings are heard and valued. Whether you're navigating stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck, together we’ll work toward clarity, and growth. You don’t have to go through this alone—support is here when you’re ready.
I am a qualified counsellor and an accredited registered member of National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I also have qualifications in Psychology (BSc) and Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology (MSc).
I work with adults and teenagers (age 13 and over) online and face to face at CAU 12. I have worked at four different charity organisations. I have experience as a crisis counsellor, working experience with people heavily affected by natural disasters, trauma, abuse and loss mainly. I’m especially interested in complex trauma and supporting people with longstanding emotional and relationship difficulties.
I use Pluralistic Approach. It means I use different techniques and skills tailored according to my clients’ needs such as CBT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic approach and person-centred approach, and gestalt tools. Depending on what you’re going through, we work together and draw from a range of therapeutic techniques to help you explore your situation, understand yourself more deeply, and work towards lasting, positive change at your own pace.
